Clinical Studies

JNS Article v1

Clinical results: JNS article

After several years of research and technological development at CSF-Dynamics our pilot study was able to demonstrate that our method of shunting to the intracranial sinus for the treatment of hydrocephalus will significantly reduce both revisions and complications by mimicking physiological drainage. We would like to thank Dr Sune Munthe and his team at Odense University Hospital for supporting us in this investigation and showing that our shunt remains patent and avoids overdrainage. The paper was published in the Journal of Neurosurgery in 2023. The abstract can be found on the Journal of Neurosurgery (link below).

Pivotal study planned

As soon as further funding allows, we will be starting our pivotal study. This study will prove the safety and efficacy of our SinuShunt device in a multi-centre single armed clinical study on Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) patients, with the ultimate aim to bring this device to market in the EU, before seeking market approval in the US,  Canada and Japan.
